For my Preliminary coursework, i decided to do a magazine that targeted mainly the female students of the college and setting out the colour design in that way. At first i thought it would be appealing to both boys and girls, but other people's opinions didn't see it that way so my plans schanged to make it a magazine for girls instead. i used two images that i thought would be interesting for all students across the curriculum and every issue there would be a different course advertised or shown in it. i chose to use a final image from my photography that i took as i thought it would be useful for new AS students to find out what other people did and how creative some are. i then chose to use an older picture that i took of my friend blowing bubbles and based a story around that it was a fundraising event (Children in Need).
i think it looks fun and appealing! i chose to use this picture with the bubble in as it was a good and intersetinf shot at an angle but getting her face and torso in the picture holding the bubble stick. i chose to take it at an angle as i didn't want one facing straight, i wanted it to be interseting and fun. i arranged my front cover with this picture as the main flash as it was the main story of my magazine for a fundraising event and used my scanner art as a side story as one of my main sells and added information about each on what they are about and what page they are on.
